With the Southern Utah University’s ongoing efforts to give the best academic experience to its students, The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems (CSIS) recently renewed its accreditation by the Computing Accreditation Commission under the direction of the Accrediting Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
Professor and program director, Rob Robertson happily stated, “Our faculty and staff have tirelessly put forth the effort to assess the tools necessary and to help students achieve program outcomes.”
This recent achievement has granted accreditation to the department’s bachelor in computer science and bachelor in information systems, both degrees receiving glowing report cards from ABET.
ABET is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization that accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. ABET accredits 3,300 programs at more than 680 colleges and universities in 24 countries.
