Southern Utah University (SUU) will host a special “Tribute to Vietnam Veterans” dinner on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2015 at 6 p.m. in the Great Hall of the R. Haze Hunter Conference Center on SUU’s campus. The tribute, sponsored by the Veteran’s Coalition of Cedar City, will include welcome remarks by SUU President Scott L Wyatt followed by featured veteran speakers Captain Ron Adams and Captain Walter Want and a keynote address by Colonel Ed Hubbard, a noted motivational speaker and author. Special guests Marshall McDonald and Steven Sharp Nelson will add their musical talent to the tribute.

Keynote speaker Col. Hubbard will share his story as a prisoner of war (POW) for over 6 years in the “Hanoi Hilton” prison camp in North Vietnam. His presentation will recount not the horror of his circumstance, but the indomitable faith and courage within each of us to survive and overcome challenging circumstances. Hubbard has shared his message of hope with a worldwide audience of over 6 million people and is sure to inspire all in attendance.

A complimentary buffet dinner will be given to all Vietnam veterans and their guests. All veterans and guests are invited to attend, a donation of $20 per person is asked for non-Vietnam veteran attendees and tickets will be available at the door. All proceeds will go to the Cedar City Veteran’s Coalition.
