Return of the T-Bird: Private Star Wars Screening

In a city not so far away, Southern Utah University is taking over an entire theater to show potential students how they can have a good feeling about joining the T-Bird Nation with the world premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at The District Megaplex Theaters in South Jordan, Utah on December 17.

A red carpet event for incoming SUU students will give them a private showing of the new Star Wars and will show the fun opportunities SUU students can take part in. According to SUU admission counselor, Jay Sorenson, it also highlights several SUU programs, such as film studies and screen writing and "who knows, possibly produce the next JJ Abrams."

SUU Admissions awarded Star Wars tickets to winners at the booth it hosted during Salt Lake City’s 2015 Comic Con and to students who committed to attending SUU in Fall 2016.

As part of the private screening, SUU Admissions created a short film about one student’s experience at SUU.
