Bringing Nevada Graduate Services In-House

SUU Brings Nevada Graduate Services In-HouseTo better serve students and operate a more efficient program, Southern Utah University will no longer be collaborating with the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) in southern Nevada.

For the past 10 years, SUU has utilized CTE for recruitment and cashiering functions within the Nevada Graduate Programs. Beginning July 18, 2016, these operations will be moved entirely in-house to help simplify admissions and registration for students. This change will also reduce student costs as no recruitment fees will be assessed.

“Students will have an easier and much more logical pathway to follow for admission to the programs,” said Mark Atkinson, dean of Graduate Studies, speaking of this change. “The process will be more streamlined with very qualified advisors to work with each student, providing a holistic approach to individual needs.”

Over one-third of Utah public education administrators have been educated through SUU’s online graduate or certification programs. SUU is a nationally accredited institution and offers multiple masters degrees, online programs and academic endorsements to help the working teacher and administrator on a variety of educational paths.

Current students involved with CTE will have a seamless change and will continue to pay tuition through CTE. Any questions can be directed to Dr. Cynthia Kimball Davis at cynthiakimballdavis@suu.edu.

Future or returning students who have expressed interest in SUU should contact the Graduate and Online Admissions Office at 435-865-8665 or email onlineadmissions@suu.edu.
