Randy Onwuasor Earns Big Sky Honors Following Career-High Performance

Randy OnwuasorAfter a career-high performance in SUU's season-opening victory against Northern Arizona, Randy Onwuasor received Big Sky weekly honors, being named.

"We are tremendously proud of Randy's recognition. His hard work and leadership paid off with a win," head coach Todd Simon said. "His consistent scoring speaks for itself, but he continues to step up in all areas of his game."

Onwuasor, a junior from Inglewood, Calif., posted a double-double in Southern Utah's 93-80 win over Northern Arizona on Saturday. The guard scored 37 points on 12-of-23 shooting including 7-of-11 from behind the arc. He also pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds to give SUU its first conference win of the season. Onwuasor leads the Big Sky in scoring with 23.1 points per game. He also ranks fourth in defensive rebounds with 5.2 per contest.
