Classroom discussionThe Princeton Review has recognized Southern Utah University as one of the best regional schools in the country. This marks the twelfth year the university has been included in the “Best of the West” listing.

Dr. Brad Cook, Provost responsible for Academic Affairs said, “We are making continuous improvements to both the quality of our academics and the student experience. It is nice to see the Princeton Review focusing on what we already know, students enjoy top programs with invested faculty and the outcomes are strong when a student chooses SUU.”

The Princeton Review releases a list of colleges and universities, yearly, featuring the Best Colleges by region. Schools are divided into one of four regions: Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, and West.

The lists are created after reviewing scores of student surveys, conducting campus visits, collecting institutional data, and surveying high school-based college advisors about their top recommendations.

Of the 658 schools listed overall, 127 are featured in the Western rankings. Schools in the Western region are from 15 of states, ranging from Texas to Washington. SUU was one of six schools from Utah included on the list.

The Princeton Review is a New York-based company trusted for its test preparation courses, books, college admission prep, and other help dedicated to high school students looking to attend college. It is not affiliated with Princeton University and it is not a magazine.
