Student raising hand in classBest Value Schools recently ranked Southern Utah University’s Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program as tenth best in the nation. Out of fifty-three schools ranked, SUU is the only school from Utah.

Schools on the list were ranked according to tuition costs, graduation rate, date to finish, as well as satisfaction with students, convenience to students, job placement, quality of education, and flexibility for working adults.

SUU’s School of Business has offered a MAcc degree for over twenty-five years. The graduate program provides a greater breadth and depth to further develop the knowledge and skills to enter professional accountancy. The program is AACSB Accredited and is now also available online. The MAcc has nearly a 100% job placement rate within six months, with accounting firms from Utah, Nevada, and California heavily recruiting students.

Robin Boneck, associate professor of accounting and department chair at SUU, knows that the MAcc program is an exceptional opportunity for many students. Between the experienced faculty and practical classroom situations, the program is ideal for anyone looking to pass the CPA exam and find an accounting career.

“Students can expect to receive an outstanding education from our MAcc program, one that will challenge them academically and help place them in an excellent career,” said Boneck. “The program is flexible, tuition is reasonable, and job placement for students seeking employment is nearly 100%.”
