On April 3 a campus wide email was sent to SUU's campus community the decision for all summer classes at SUU to be offered remotely.
Subject: Summer Semester Update
Dear Students, Faculty and Staff,
We have decided, like all other universities in Utah, to plan for all summer classes to be offered remotely. We cannot forecast when we will be able to shift back from remote instruction to regular face-to-face classrooms and hope this will help you make your plans for the summer.
The good news is that we will be holding true to our commitment on the 3-year bachelor’s degrees and offering a lot of summer classes for you. Some of the classes will be taught live via zoom at regularly scheduled times, like most of your classes have been during the last half of this semester. The rest of the classes will be traditional online classes that you can do at your own pace, without an expectation that you log in during certain “class lecture” times.
Remember, your scholarships and financial aid are all available this summer. And all out-of-state students get resident tuition in the summer. Hopefully, this will make it possible for you to say engaged with us this summer. More details and FAQ’s about summer semester can be found here.
We look forward to fall semester when we expect to be back to normal with regular classes in Cedar City and a vibrant campus life. Stay updated at go.suu.edu/coronavirus.
Thank you for your patience. It’s going to be a great summer!
Stay T-Bird Strong!
Scott
