Southern Utah University's A.P.E.X. Events is joined this week by members of SUU's College of Science on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Hunter Alumni Center. This event will feature live experiments, insights on herbalism from a Hopi elder, live animals from the Animal Ambassador club, and so much more.
“It is always a joy when we get to showcase the knowledge and talents of individuals on our very own SUU’s campus," said Dr. Lynn Vartan, director of A.P.E.X. Events at SUU. "I am excited to hear more about their expertise and passions as they showcase science in action.”
This showcase event will have something for everyone. A variety of topics will be explored during this A.P.E.X. hour in a live and hands-on way. Attendees will see experiments from SUU faculty, including the musical Tesla coil. A.P.E.X. will also have the privilege of bringing SUU’s Animal Ambassadors Club to the stage to showcase some of the beautiful creatures that live right here on campus. We are most honored to also welcome a Hopi elder to our stage to talk about the powers of herbalism and our natural land.
A.P.E.X. Events is SUU’s premier weekly lecture series, with speakers and presenters invited from all areas of the world. While on campus, guests are invited to interact with students and faculty in multiple ways, with opportunities to connect and network in vast areas of scholarship. All A.P.E.X. Events are free and open to the public.
This semester, A.P.E.X. Event presentations will also be streamed live, join the event virtually via Zoom.
