Marie Osmond Kicks Off Holiday Tour at SUUEntertainment icon Marie Osmond will spread the holiday spirit as she launches her A Symphonic Christmas tour at Southern Utah University on Wednesday, December 1, at 7:30 p.m. inside the America First Event Center. Her special guests will include her nephew David Osmond and “America’s Got Talent” finalist Daniel Emmet. Tickets are $35 for adults and $25 for students, and can be purchased at tbirdtickets.com, at the Thunderbird Ticket Office or by calling (435) 586-7872.

“We are excited to bring Marie Osmond to Iron County,” said SUU Interim President Mindy Benson. “Marie has entertained audiences throughout the world, and of course she is a fan favorite here in Utah. We are thrilled that she is launching her 2021 tour right here in Cedar City and helping us kick off the holiday season.”

Fans can look forward to the multiple gold and platinum-selling artist and CMA winner performing festive favorites as well as Billboard chart-topping singles from her five-decade career. Osmond will also enchant audiences with songs off her upcoming Unexpected album, which covers a multitude of styles from opera to Broadway to timeless classics.

A local twist to the holiday concert is the SUU Symphonic Orchestra will provide accompaniment for the show. Members of the orchestra are eager for the experience of learning from Osmond, who has garnered numerous Billboard chart-topping singles and albums.

“This is exciting and an excellent opportunity for me to grow as a musician as well as learn about the music industry world,” said flutist Stone Ren, a freshman music performance major from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The follow-up to Osmond's Top 10 Billboard Country album, Music is Medicine, Unexpected is dedicated to her father George who encouraged his daughter to follow her passion and sing every style of music she loved. These recordings are also a permanent tribute and personal thank you from Osmond to all of her fans who have requested them over the years.
