A.P.E.X. Events Presents Roy F. Baumeister

Events. "Professor Baumesiter is the perfect speaker to bring to our campus as we all look for how we can improve and become our best selves.”
In collaboration with SUU’s school of business, we present Roy F. Baumeister. Baumeisterr is one of the world’s most innovative and influential psychologists. He has published over 700 scientific works, including over 40 books. Baumeister is known for his work on belongingness, self-esteem, motivation, aggression, consciousness, and free will.
In 2013, he received the highest award given by the Association for Psychological Science, the William James Fellow award, in recognition of his lifetime achievements. He is currently president-elect of the International Positive Psychology Association.
Although Roy made his name with laboratory research, his recognition extends beyond academia. His book Willpower: Rediscovering the Greatest Human Strength, was a New York Times bestseller.
A.P.E.X. Events is SUU’s premier weekly lecture series, with speakers and presenters invited from all areas of the world. While on campus, guests are invited to interact with students and faculty in multiple ways, with opportunities to connect and network in vast areas of scholarship. All A.P.E.X. Events are free and open to the public.
