As war and natural disasters continue around the world, Southern Utah University will host a forum on Hope, in a Time of War, Natural Disaster and Instability. The event will be Tuesday, April 5 in the Great Hall starting at 1:00 PM.
“We continue to witness many troubling developments around the world. These include the current war in Ukraine, continued conflict in North Africa, natural disasters in Polynesia, and many others,” said SUU provost Dr. Jon Anderson. “Many in our campus community are looking for hope and understanding. They also need an outlet to express the emotions we all feel.”
The forum will consist of three parts. The first section will include brief comments from international members of our campus community who have been directly impacted by war, natural disaster, and instability. The second portion will include messages from campus leaders about proactive approaches we are taking to prepare and protect our campus community. The third portion will focus on finding hope and learning about how we as individuals might contribute to global relief efforts in affected nations.
For those who are unable to attend the forum, the event will be recorded and made available for future viewing.
