Campus Loop Asphalt Preservation Project
Published: July 18, 2022 | Read Time: 1 minutes
Beginning on Monday, July 18, 2022 work is scheduled to prepare road surfaces around Southern Utah University to apply a pavement preservation treatment to extend the life of the road surfaces surrounding campus. In order for the treatment to be effective, sections of the SUU loop will be fully closed to give the product sufficient time to cure.
Road Closures
- Sunday, July 31 and Monday, August 1: University Boulevard will be closed
- Sunday, August 7 and Monday, August 8: 300 West, Thunderbird Way and 1150 West
As the preparation and closures happen, please be courteous to other drivers and UDOT work crew members and use marked detours and follow traffic control. The treatment is weather dependent. Should there be a delay due to rain or too much moisture, the material will not be applied and the application will be rescheduled.
SUU Facilities appreciates your cooperation and patience as the necessary maintenance is being completed. If you have any questions, please contact Ben Johnson, SUU Facilities Management's senior managing director.
