On August 24, 2022, Southern Utah University alumnus Isaac Holyoak was deemed the new chief communications officer at CleanSpark, an American Bitcoin mining company. Holyoak stepped up to this position from his most recent position, vice president of strategic communications for CleanSpark. With this new responsibility, Holyoak will be tasked with managing and overseeing development and advancement of the CleanSpark’s public affairs, along with promoting its brand through strategic communications.
"It’s an honor to be a part of a company committed to delivering on a promise to solve Bitcoin's most pressing challenges,” said Holyoak. “I have a great, supportive team that works diligently to help execute communication strategies that support CleanSpark's strategic platforms. I look forward to continuing to build, lead and promote the Company's communications function.”
Holyoak received his bachelor’s degree in public relations from SUU in 2008. He worked as a public relations assistant for SUU while simultaneously earning his master’s degree in speech communications and rhetoric from Purdue University, where he later worked as a teaching assistant. Following graduation from Purdue in 2010, he spent nearly seven years working various positions at the University of Utah in the communications department. Prior to his time at the University of Utah, he worked as director of communications at Alliance for a Better UTAH. Holyoak joined the CleanSpark team in 2021. In total, Holyoak has over two decades of experience in marketing and communications.
Since Holyoak took on the position, CleanSpark has seen its corporate communications built anew. This has led to a growth in the company’s brand recognition both in multiple press outlets and online.
"Holyoak is a forward-thinking leader who profoundly understands CleanSpark's employees, investors, and mission,” said Matt Schultz, CleanSpark’s executive chairman. “He has an excellent track record of achievement, making him an asset to the leadership team as CleanSpark becomes a global leader in sustainable bitcoin mining.”
