The Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games officially opened registration for participants for 2024 programming utilizing a new registration system provided by Utah-based software company Arbiter Sports. The long-standing amateur sports competition will host 34 sanctioned competitions during the 2024 season, with competition starting on March 22 with wrestling. The Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games Opening Ceremony, presented by State Bank of Southern Utah, is scheduled for Friday, June 7 at Eccles Coliseum.
New additions for the 2024 season include sports such as boys’ volleyball, cheer, corn hole, drill/dance, mountain biking, and orienteering. The new events align with the department’s goal to continue providing educational access, economic development, and cultivation of community and healthy lifestyles through its programming.
“We are so excited for registration to open for the 2024 Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games,” said Jon Oglesby, executive director of the Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games Department at SUU. “Our department, in conjunction with many partners and supporters, is elated to welcome the state of Utah and friends from neighboring states to participate and connect at our beloved campus and community. We are thrilled to welcome new friends who will participate in new event offerings.”
Last year featured a record 10,566 participants from several states. To register for this year’s Larry H. Miller Utah Summer Games, or to learn more about the event, visit utahsummergames.org
