Honors Program

Applying

The Honors Program is open to new freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Admittance to the Honors Program is a prerequisite for registering for honors courses. Priority deadline is February 1, 2009. Secondary deadline is March 15, 2009. APPLY ONLINE

High School Seniors

To apply, students should:

  1. have earned at least a 3.5 high school grade point average, AND a 26 composite ACT score
  2. complete an application
  3. submit a 500 word essay on a topic of their choice

Students who do not have the prerequisites listed in 1 and 2 should write their essay on "Why I Want to Be an Honors Student."

Current SUU Students

To apply, students should:

  • have at least a cumulative college GPA of 3.5
  • complete an applicaiton
  • meet with the Honors Director.
