Reflection
On March 2nd, 2017 we had our fourth speaker of our Convocation 2017 series. Our speaker was Jelani Cobb and his topic was titled "The Half-Life of Freedom: Race and Justice in America Today". Jelani spoke about how the different races get treated in the Justice System and how it impacts their lives. He gave reality examples that happened to people and how the Justice System. During his Convocation he showed a video about how people are treated base on their race. At the same time, he talked about the justice side of the video too. Our next Convocation will be on March 21st, 2017 in The Great Hall at 11:30am and the speaker will be Dr. Quintard Taylor. Dr. Taylor's topic for Thursday will be "The Challenge of the Racial Frontier." We hope we see you guys there!
