A.P.E.X. Pilot Internship Program
The mission of the A.P.E.X. Internship Program is to provide students with high impact and intentional experiences facilitating, promoting, and executing an event/speaker series on campus while also providing networking and connection opportunities with scholars from a variety of disciplines.
Requirements & Key Info
- Interested students must submit their resume and cover letter to Ryan Paul (paul@suu.edu). In the cover letter please indicate which position or positions you are interested in.
- Internships are semester long positions, but renewable up to 8 semesters.
- This is an unpaid, no credit internship. The goal is to provide students with an opportunity to have an inside look at the organization and to network with the speakers while learning and assisting with event planning and execution.
- Upon completion, students will receive certificate of participation and references from Ryan Paul based on their work and involvement with the program.
Options for Gaining Credit
There is the possibility to earn course credit from your major. See your advisor and ask about Course Number 4890 to request credit for the internship program.Position | Hours | Responsibilities |

Thursdays, 10am-4pm | Assist with event specific logistics (ie guest hosting, misc setup, zoom management while Dr Vartan is on stage etc) |
Audio Editing/Radio Show | Thursdays, 3-4 pm and also 2-3 other hours flexible | Edit radio show and prepare for Podcast |
Series Support (2 positions available) |
Thursdays, 10am-4pm and 6 hours a week flexible | Assist with various office/logistical tasks with director (ie budget input, guest hosting, prepare radio show notes, speaker suggestion input, prepare speaker packets) |
