Alan S. Layton earned his engineering degree from Brigham Young University in 1972 where he then transitioned his time to Layton Construction while working with his father Alan W. Layton. By this time, Layton Construction was expanding more than ever while completing a variety of projects which included the renovation and expansion of Cougar Stadium at Brigham Young University. Only a few short years later, Layton was asked by his parents to become the president of the company. Layton Construction continued to flourish providing its services to many. During the 2002 Olympic Winter Games, Layton Construction built office buildings, venues, health care centers and warehouses to support the global event. There are currently 9 locations throughout the United States. Today, Layton Construction Company is currently owned and managed by Alan S. Layton’s son, David S. Layton.
