Required Training for SUU Employees
As employees of a public institution of higher education, we are each responsible to complete required employee training. We are happy to announce that the institution now offers access for you to complete these required trainings through the SUU Canvas Learning Management System. Please notice that not all training options contained on this page are required by ALL employees. Please see the descriptions of each training to understand which trainings you will need to complete pertaining to your role(s) here at SUU.
- Select the training course you would like to complete and login to your mySUU Portal if you are directed to do so.
- You DO NOT have to have anyone sign certificates of completion!
- You will have completed the course when all the course modules are completed.
- The FERPA training can also be found inside the “Required Training for SUU Employees” course.

Required Training for SUU Employees
This training course needs to be completed by all SUU employees. If you do not currently have access to this course please contact Human Resources or ERM, Compliance, and Safety .
FERPA Training
FERPA Tutorial For all employees with access to student records. All university employees who have access to student records are required to complete the online FERPA training.
Campus Security Authority Training
This training needs to be completed by individuals that are campus security authorities. Campus security authorities are individuals serving in positions that have been identified by the Clery Compliance Officer to have significant responsibility for student and campus activities. If you have questions regarding campus security authorities or the campus security authority training please contact the Office of ERM, Compliance, and Safety.
