Masters of Sports Conditioning & Performance Recognition
The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) is widely considered the world’s premier organization committed to advancing the strength and conditioning discipline. The NSCA Education Recognition Program (ERP) recognizes and distinguishes regionally accredited academic institutions with strength and conditioning curricula in undergraduate and graduate programs that meet the educational guidelines endorsed by the NSCA. The ERP focuses on the quality of a university’s program curricula, credentials of the faculty, and scholarly outcomes of the faculty and students. The SUU MSSCP Program received NSCA ERP approval in November of 2016. At that time the MSSCP Program was one of only 17 graduate programs in the United States that had earned NSCA ERP approval in the area research curricula (and unique to Utah).
The Intelligent Organization has ranked the SUU MSSCP Program as the 2nd best online Sports Medicine program (2022). The ranking is based on the academic quality and student success. Likewise, measures such as faculty credentials/training, instructor accessibility/ responsiveness, and the incorporation of diverse online learning tools are considered for the purpose of ranking of programs. The MSSCP Program was awarded the " Coaching Emphasis".
The College Affordability Guide ranks the SUU MSSCP Program as a top 6 Online Graduate Exercise Science program (2022). The goal of College Affordability Guide "is to provide information that will help prospective students find and complete degrees that might actually move their careers forward".
The Student Success Organization ranks the SUU MSSCP Program as a top 20 Online Masters Human Performance program (2021). The Student Success Organization’s goal is to help students: “Learn about the best education and career options available in technology, life skills, and more. In the end, being a successful student means getting the career you not only want but also deserve”.
The College Rank Organization positions the SUU MSSCP Program as the 6th best (2022) in the nation Online Sports Medicine program "based on three aspects: potential salary after graduation, individual program accreditation, and overall affordability".
College Choice ranks the SUU MSSCP Program as among the top ten for best value in the country (2021). Further, the SUU MSSCP Program is the only College Choice top ten best value ranked program that is also a NSCA ERP recognized program.
