What should I do after applying?
- Check your email. If you submitted your online application, colleges should be in touch with you to inform you of the status of your application.
- After 4-weeks of your submission, if no one has contacted you, contact the admissions office.
- Make sure the counseling center at your school has submitted your official transcript. If you took or are taking concurrent enrollment classes you will need to submit your college transcript as well.
- It's also time to start working on scholarship applications if you haven't done so already. Go to our scholarship page. You can search by institution or by deadline. Remember, many colleges will automatically consider you for scholarships when you apply for admissions. However, it's a good idea to double check and there are more than just merit scholarships offered that do require additional applications.
