How do I qualify for SSS Program Services?
To qualify for SSS program services a student must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States, admitted/registered at Southern Utah University as a full-time student, demonstrate an academic need for services as defined by the institution, have earned fewer than 40 college credits, and meet at least one of the following criteria;
- First Generation- Neither parent received a four year college degree before the student reached 18 years old;
- Low Income Student- Receiving financial aid such as a PELL grant or have a household taxable income that meets federal guidelines;
- Disability- Student has a learning or physical disability that is documented through the SUU Disability Resource Center.
You can pick up an application in the Sharwan Smith Building, Student Resources Center (room 206) or you can also use our online application. The SUU SSS staff will review applications and invite prospective participants to complete the application process.
