Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery

Educational Programs and Resources

The Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery’s education programming develops and implements engaging and high-quality educational experiences for visitors to the Gallery including families, school groups and the visiting public.

The Southern Utah Museum of Art and the Garth and Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History are collaborating again for this year’s Fall Education Program to create a STEAM learning experience.

This year’s theme for the Fall Education Program is based on the ABC: Assemblage, Book Arts, & Collage exhibition.

K-6 students will be learning about assemblage, book arts, and collage by viewing and discussing the exhibition, and will get to make a temporary class collage in the gallery. At the Frehner Museum, they will learn about how green roofs can help save water and the environment, and will create assemblage-dioramas of green roofs in groups.

Middle and high school students will get a special presentation and art-making experience in their school classroom, with the additional option of touring the exhibition.
