Blake Clark attended Southern Utah University for a single semester before taking the opportunity to participate in the Disney College Program in Orlando, Florida. When he returned, Blake had a greater focus on his life goals and knew that SUU was the place to pursue these dreams.
“I chose SUU because of the professional relationships that could exist with faculty members due to the intimate environment of smaller class sizes,” said Blake.
While at SUU, Blake enrolled in education courses and worked to earn his Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Masters in Educational Leadership. While working towards his degree’s Blake said he didn’t just learn about education, but learned about himself and who he wanted to be.
Now Blake works as the Executive Director at one of Utah’s premier public charter schools, George Washington Academy. This academy has had a diligent academic focus on its education of more than 1,000 students.
“My number one priority is the instruction that is taking place in our classrooms, making sure that our students are safe and learning at their highest level,” said Blake.
“SUU provided the experience and knowledge necessary to be successful. I continually reflect on the knowledge I gained at SUU to make informed and educated decisions in my career.”
