Sarah Alamshaw came to Southern Utah University as a timid 17-year-old, who wasn’t sure where she was headed in life.

Sarah became heavily involved in Alpha Phi, Presidential Ambassadors, and several honor societies.

Her drive and success were honed by principles she learned as a student at SUU.

Sarah credits the faculty and staff at SUU for helping her become the person she is now, and among her many mentors she specifically cites Ellen Treanor, public relations professor, for believing in her ability to accomplish her dreams and envision an exciting future.

“She always made me feel better,” Sarah said of Treanor. “Whenever I was struggling I would stop by her office and she would help me understand that everything was going to be ok.”

After earning her bachelor’s degree, the communication alumna went on to earn her master’s in professional communication in only one year. Opportunity moved her to all over the United States, where she has worked for various well known brands in communication. Sarah currently holds the title of senior account executive for WE Communications in Seattle, Washington.

“I love my job thanks to the specialized education I earned at SUU,” Sarah happily stated.

Sarah graduated with a degree in Communication. Learn more about the program.
