Growing up as a gymnast in Mesa, Arizona, Tyly Bozzuto had a goal to compete collegiately. Southern Utah University gave her that opportunity with both athletic and academic scholarships.
Focusing on becoming an athletic training major and gymnast, Tyly was unsure where she would end up after four years. With discipline in areas of time management, hard work, and perseverance, she found her answer.
“I found myself at SUU,” said Tyly. “I really learned what my true passion in life is and I owe it to the people, specifically the athletic staff at SUU.”
Tyly is now working as a life skills coordinator for student athletes at SUU. She creates personal strategic plans for athletes and schedules seminars with topics such as budgeting, writing resumes, and how to interview for employment.
Tyly’s main goal is to prepare student athletes for life after college and help them prepare to live to their full potential.
