Outdoor Pathways Research Team
The Southern Utah University Research Assistants (RA’s) work as a team of students and professional staff on several Forest Service applications, such as, the Design and Analysis Toolkit for Inventory and Monitoring (DATIM) project, National Ownership Management System (NOMS), and Business Operation Software System (BOSS). As a federal grant-funded team, the RAs responsibilities include testing applications for Section 508 compliance and quality assurance. Along with documenting and reporting testing efforts, note taking on conference calls, drafting publications, and creating training videos. Through the DATIM project, the RAs work closely with the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and Forest Inventory and Analysis (FIA).
