Text with Thor - Our Resource Chatbot!
Thor’s mission is to periodically check-in on students to help address any challenges they may face as a college student, plus answering questions 24/7. While Thor communicates to many students the Student Outreach & Support Office is the connection; to ensure you have what you need to help you be successful at SUU.
Who is Thor?
Thor is an artificial intelligence texting chatbot/resource tool that focuses on getting students connected to campus resources and helping students be successful during their academic journey. Think of Thor as a “Siri” built for Southern Utah University. It is a wonderful way to hear student feedback and create a community of caring.
Thor serves as a communication tool to answer questions, and connect students to resources and information regarding:
- Academics
- Financial Matters
- Student Life and Involvement
- Overall Wellbeing
- And so much more!
Thor is continually becoming smarter about our student body through text exchanges and proactively engaging with students on a regular basis. This helps to keep students informed and connected throughout their time at Southern Utah University.
Currently, Thor is available to our main campus undergraduate students. We hope to eventually have this resource tool available to a broader range of students.
