Appointment Limits
You may book up to two 45-minute sessions or one 90-minute extended session for a total of up to 1.5 hours per week. During busy weeks, you may be limited to only one 45-minute session so that we can meet the increased demand.
You can book appointments as far out as 21 days or as early as 1 hour in advance.
Cancellations, Lateness, and Missed Appointments
Please cancel or reschedule appointments at least two hours in advance as a courtesy to other students. To cancel or reschedule appointments, click the Change/Cancel Appointment button at the bottom of your confirmation email and following the prompts.
Please arrive on time for your appointments. If you have not joined your live online session by 10 minutes after the scheduled start time or responded to attempts to contact you, your appointment may be cancelled and you will need to reschedule.
If you miss three appointments, you will be blocked from making appointments for the remainder of the semester.
Online Sessions
You must be present for live online sessions to get the full benefit of a collaborative discussion. If you must step away for frequent or extended periods of time—or if you can only attend for a few minutes of the full session time—your appointment may be cancelled and you will need to reschedule for a more convenient time. If you cannot be present for your live online session, you can try a Written Feedback session instead. To change your upcoming appointment, click the Change/Cancel Appointment button at the bottom of your confirmation email and follow the prompts.
Written Feedback Sessions
You must send or share your paper with us in time for your Written Feedback session. If you have not sent or shared your paper by 10 minutes after the session’s start time, your appointment will be cancelled and you will need to reschedule.
Group Papers
If you are writing a paper with a group, we will be happy to meet with your whole group to discuss each person’s work together. If you cannot meet with us all together as a group, we can meet with individuals separately but can only discuss their own work with them.
Academic Integrity
The writing you share with us must be your own work and cannot be for a test, essay exam, assessment, or any other assignment for which your professor says you cannot use outside assistance. University policy prohibits us from providing feedback or assistance in such cases.
Proof of Visit
Please let us know on the booking form if your professor needs proof of your appointment with us and provide your professor’s first and last name. We will email your professor with your name, course code and number, date and time of your session, and the name of the consultant who met with you to confirm your visit.
